The Portuguese partner Águas do Tejo Atlântico outlined the project’s main objectives, ongoing activities, and the NB-WoLL methodology.

On 26 June, the SOLLAGUA project participated remotely in the consortium meeting of the Smart Green Water project, held at the University of Córdoba (Spain), with the aim of exchanging experiences with other projects funded by the Interreg SUDOE programme focused on efficient water management and reuse. In addition to the host project, the I-ReWater initiative also took part. This project aims to improve water resource management in agriculture by integrating the use of reclaimed urban water in crop irrigation.

Representing SOLLAGUA, Margarida Costa from Águas do Tejo Atlântico explained the project’s key goals, current activities, and the NB-WoLL (nature-based water-oriented living labs) methodology. This innovative approach is based on co-creation with multiple stakeholders, promoting nature-based solutions tailored to the needs of rural areas.

The importance of continuing to explore synergies and collaboration opportunities among stakeholders across Southern Europe was a central topic during the session, especially as Smart Green Water is currently developing a transnational strategy focused on irrigation digitalisation.
