As part of the I-ReWater Interreg Sudoe project, the technical report ‘Analysis of strategies/policies for the use of reclaimed water – SUDOE’ has been published.
This document consists of a review of international and European policies on the use of reclaimed water in agriculture, together with an analysis of strategies at international and European level, and a comprehensive review of legislation from the international to the regional level.
The report also includes the necessary sources of information and methodology for the development of the future ‘Strategy to increase the use of reclaimed water in agriculture’ at the end of 2026, and analyses the interrelationships with other activities we carry out in our research.
The study was led by the AMB (Barcelona Metropolitan Area), with the participation of I-ReWater partners: University of Santiago de Compostela, Águas do Norte, S.A., National Institute for Agricultural and Veterinary Research, IP (INIAV, IP), and INRAE (National Institute for Research in Agriculture, Food and the Environment). It also involved the collaboration of HOPEN – Terre de houblon, Gestagua (Gestión y Técnicas del Agua, SA) and the Government of Andorra.
