Miguel Campos, exploration coordinator at Áugas do Norte, a partner organisation in the I-ReWater project, took part in the ‘O caminho a inovação 2025’ event on 25 September with a presentation on ‘I-ReWater: sustainable water resource management in irrigated agriculture in the SUDOE area’. During his presentation, he introduced the project and its role as a technological partner developing two ad hoc wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) to produce reclaimed water for irrigating the UTAD and IPB olive and almond tree pilot projects located in Mirandela and Alfândega da Fé, respectively.
The event, ‘O caminho a inovação 2025’ (The path to innovation 2025), was organised by Águas do Tejo Atlântico at the Alcântara Water Factory (Lisbon). It was a meeting that combined innovation, sustainability and collaboration under the slogan ‘Challenging the obvious in the water sector’, as this edition sought to question the status quo and explore new ways of thinking to transform the future of water.
